It focuses on pathology, because pathology is the foundation of modern medicine. It touches on every aspect of basic science and clinical practice. The site was created with the hope that it would be used to enhance knowledge of pathological processes by condensing a broad range of information in a manner conducive to learning and review.

About
Stephan was a historical researcher and author of historical fiction throughout most of his career. He also studied at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, although illness prevented him from completing his degree.
Late in his life, he observed an increasing need for better medical care throughout the world. He knew from personal experience with his network of family and friends that preventable diseases continued to limit life expectancy and quality of life. Therefore, he wished to do something to enhance the quality of healthcare.
He believed that he could help by contributing to the education of physicians, medical students and other health professionals. Since the Internet had become a major source of information for medical professionals, medical students, and the general public, he decided to work in this venue, taking advantage of the greatly increased availability of information and references that it offers.
Sadly, Stephan passed away in 2021, so the site has not been updated since then. But as the basics of pathology have not changed radically, the work may still be of use.
